Edmund Crispin Bibliography Biography Information

Edmund Crispin born 1921 was the pen name of Robert Bruce Montgomery. 
He went to Oxford university and this experience gave him the background for his mystery novels. Mostly academic mysteries the main series character is Gervase Fen an Oxford University Professor of English.

The books are highly regarded still to this day by both readers and collectors. They are certainly a must for those who enjoy the academic backdrops. There is a dry wit about the books and they are heavily laced with literary references and quotes.
