GAULT, William Campbell. Also writes as Will Duke; Dial Forest; Roney Scott. American. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 9 March 1910. Attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, 1929. Served with the 166th Infantry, 1943-45. Married Virginia Kaprelian in 1942; one daughter and one son. Manager and part-owner, Blatz Hotel, Milwaukee, 1932-39, Since 1939 self-employed writer. Recipient: Mystery Writers of America Edgar Allan Poe Award 1953; Boys Clubs of America Junior Book Award, 1957
