Warriner, Thurman born in Britain and also wrote under the names of John Kersey and Simon Troy. He had a brief theatrical career in his early youth, and has also been a poultry farmer and a cinema technician. In latter years he threw wisdom to the winds and on the strength of fifty stories sold in pre-war years, gave up his job to make writing his full-time occupation. His hobbies are walking and finding obscure pubs and churches. His ambition ? £2,000 a' year, without tax. |
