WOODS, Sara. Pseudonym for Sara Bowen-Judd, nee Hutton; also writes as Anne Burton; Mary Challis; Margaret Leek. British. Born in Bradford, Yorkshire, 7 March 1922. Educated privately and at Convent of the Sacred Heart. Filey, Yorkshire, 1932-37. Married Anthony George Bowen-Judd in 1946. Worked in a bank and in a solicitor's office. London, during World War 11; pig breeder, 1948-54; Assistant to Company Secretary, Rotol Ltd., Gloucester, 1954-58; Registrar, Saint Mary's University, Halifax. Nova Scotia, 1958-64.
