Born in London, 21 October 1926; son of Graham Montague Jeffries, i.e. Bruce Graeme, q.v. Educated at Harrow View Preparatory School; University of Southampton School of Navigation, 1942-43; Gray's Inn, London: called to the Bar, 1952. Married Rosemary Powys Woodhouse in 1958; one daughter and one son. Served in the Merchant Navy, 1943-49, rising to the rank of 3rd Officer in the New Zealand Shipping Company and the Union Castle Shipping Company; practised law, 1953-54. |
