HULL, Richard. Pseudonym for Richard Henry Sampson. British. Born in London, 6 September 1896. Educated at Rugby School, Warwickshire. Served as an officer in an infantry battalion and in the Machine Gun Corps in World War 1; on active list until 1929; also served 1939-40. Worked for a firm of chartered accountants in the early 1920's, then set up his own practice; chartered accountant with the Admiralty, London, during World War II and until the mid-1950's. Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants. Died in 1973. |
