R.A.J. Walling, Robert Alfred John, born 1869 and died 1949, was a good solid Golden Age author whose main series character is Philip Tolefree. Supposedly an insurance investigator, but more of an amateur sleuth. His police comrade in crime is Inspector Pierce. There are some twenty-eight novels of a criminous nature, though his back catalogue is plagued with alternative titles. A specialised bibliography should be consulted for further information about 1st editions. |
