New York. 1933-34. Served in the United States Army, 1941-45: Purple Heart. Married Barbara Girdansky in 1941; one son and one daughter. Vaudeville and night club comic, and social director in adult summer camps. New York State, 1935-37;pressagent. Hollywood. I936-41;full-timewriter from 1945. Recipient: Guggenheim Fellowship. 1949; Boys' Clubs of America award, 1949. Died 12 July 1978. |
