About this Book
SIREN IN THE NIGHT features Grace Latham and Colonel Primrose, not to mention the latter's gram'te-visaged self-appointed guardian Sergeant Buck, in a first-rate mystery set in war-time San Francisco. It was inconceivable on the face of it that any one would want to murder Loring Kimball, a wealthy citizen with a high reputation as a public benefactor. And yet one person had waited on that eventful night with intent to kill and with what must have been a complete sense of security. Here is a story of lifelong hatred and revenge in which the suspense mounts to an astonishing climax.
