Brief Biography
Pseudonym for Zenith Brown, nee Jones; also wrote as Brenda Conrad; David Frome. American. Born in Smith River, California, 8 December 1898, Educated at the University of Washington, Seattle, 1917-21. Married Ford K. Brown in 1921 (died, 1977); one daughter. Assistant, departments of Greek and Philosophy, 1918-21, and Instructor and Teaching Assistant, Department of English, 1921-23, University of Washington; Assistant to Editor and Circulation Manager, Dial magazine. New York, 1922-23. After 1927, free-lance writer. Correspondent for United States Air Force in the Pacific and England during World War II. Died I September 1983.
