Brief Biography
THAYER, Lee (Emma Redington Thayer, nee Lee). American, Born in Troy, Pennsylvania, 5 April 1874. Educated at Cooper Union and Pratt Institute, New York City. Married Henry W. Thayer in 1909. Artist and illustrator: paintings displayed at Chicago World's Fair, 1893; produced designs for book jackets. Interior decorator. Associated Artists, New York 1890-96; Director, Decorative Designers, New York, 1896-1932. Died 18 November 1973.

Peter Clancy
The smooth talking, red-headed private investigator, Peter Clancy, travels to exotic locales and solves the murder problems of the very rich. His fees are considerable and he never lacks clients, although he eschews publicity. The tall detective with the keen, steel-blue eyes is a success at his profession and has been since his first investigation in 1919.
