Brief Biography
Lee Child was British born but moved to America with his family with the specific aim of being an American Thriller Writer. It has to be said he has achieved his goal admirably. The first book, Killing Floor, was both a commercial and critical success. The author also gets an authentic US feel to his novels, indeed when I first read one of his works I presumed him to be American. All of his books, to date, feature his series character, the maverick drifter, Jack Preacher.

Series Characters
Jack Reacher
A tough ex military policeman, very styled in a 'Dirty Harry' model. Some aspects may seem slightly cliched but an enjoyable character who certainly leads you to read another in the series
