Kathy Reichs is a bona fide forensic anthropologist who works in both North Carolina and Quebec. Frankly this shows in the writing, the detail and accuracy is excellent. Professionals writing about their profession is not unusual, but what is the ability to provide detail, information and background without boring the reader, this author does that superbly. All of her novels are well written and cleverly plotted with great characters, all given plenty of depth and colour. Naturally she is always compared to Patricia Cornwell, in our opinion Tempe Brennan is now mcuh better than Kay Scarpeta !. |

Temperance Brennan A skilled forensic medical examiner who inevitably becomes involved in investigations herself. The charcter is a winner from the first book and gains in stature and strength as the series progresses. The best of the 'forensic mysteries' |
