Dr David Wintringham
The active, perceptive young physician, David Wintringham, is Junior Assistant Physician at Research Hospital in London. He is athletic, fond of swimming and the outdoors - he enjoys camping in Sussex in a caravan (trailer) with his wife, Jill, and infant son Nicholas. The Wintring-hams are wealthy enough to have a nanny for their son and a maid. Often David will discuss a case with his wife, who frequently makes useful suggestions. The young amateur detective's eye is equally keen spotting questionable medical diagnoses, discovering physical clues to a crime, and recognizing imitation jewelry at a glance.
