HANSEN, Joseph. Also writes as Rose Brock; James Colton. American. Born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, 19 July 1923. Married Jane Bancroft in 1943; one daughter. Self-employed writer. Teaches mystery and other fiction writing. University of California Extension Programs. Recipient: National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, 1974; British Arts Council Grant, 1975.
