Clean text block, a few light spots to edges and boards, tight and square The jacket is unclipped with no real loss An excellent mystery and a very collectable author A nice attractive book and a solid copy

Educated at Mesa Ranch School, Arizona, 1922-25; Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois, A.B. 1929 (Phi Beta Kappa). Served in the United States Navy, 1942-45. Married 1) Ellen Baxter Peabody in 1937, one daughter and two sons; 2) Jo Ann Han?lik in 1954. Journalist: reporter. Herald-Examiner (later Chicago Tribune), 1930-33; ghostwriter for Secretary of the Interior Harold Ickes; screenwriter after 1940. Died 23 June 1983. |
