This is the first Charlie Parker, Bird, mystery, he is haunted by the brutal murder of his wife and young daughter. The authors first book starts as the series continues, flawlessly. In our opinion he is the most accomplished of the modern mystery-thriller writers. Superb plotting and great characters. If you are unfamiliar with this author, and enjoy the genre, you are missing a treat.
