A VG+ book in 7/6 RESTORED dust jacket
Interestingly the book has a neat owner name to the endpaper and the date 1931 !
Book shows just minor occasional edge spotting, light wear to boards
The jacket has had some superb restoration which is far from immediately obvious, lovely job

Synopsis
Late one night David Royle entered a train at London Bridge Station. He began to read a magazine but was suddenly interrupted by a young woman who had entered the compartment.
" Will you do something for me ? " she asked quickly. " I want you to take this ticket and collect a parcel from Charing Cross cloak room, and cover your tracks for all you're worth. I'll meet you at... at the Queen's, Birmingham. I don't know when but sometime within a week."
In this manner did Royle allow himself to be caught up in a whirlwind sequence of events, for immediately after the departure of the young woman he was plunged into an adventure from which it seemed that he might never emerge alive.
