Brief Biography
Helen McCloy, born 1904 and died 1993, was an author, though rooted in the Golden Age, was extremely versatile and adventurous in terms of style and ideas. Her series characters are Basil Willing who is psychiatrist and he appears in some thirteen full-length stories. Her other character is a police chief in the Caribbean, Miguel Urizar, though he only appears in two stories. Overall a highly recommended author and someone of enduring popularity, amongst both collectors and readers alike. We are also keen to buy pre 1943 UK 1st editions in dust jackets, so if you have anything you may consider selling, please do get in touch - thank you.
