Mr Fortune Speaking - The Copy form the Library of the Detection Club - H C Bailey
1930 UK hardback SECOND impression published by Ward Lock in London
There is the "Ex Libris - The Detection Club" bookplate affixed to front pastedown
A VG book in unclipped 3/6 dustwrapper, same Abbey artwork as the first
The book is tight and square, no names etc, light age tan
The jacket has chip to spine end, short tear to rear panel, shelf wear to edges

History
Bailey was a founder member of The Detection Club and as most of the books in the library were donated by the members one cannot help but speculate that given the foundation date of the club, 1930, that this was, perhaps, one of the original books in the Detection Club library, either way an historic item in the genre.

A solid copy, a nice full-sized 'fat book' and absolutely unique . . .
