Served in the ScotsGuards, 1918-24(Army heavyweight boxer, 1919); Lieutenant-Colonel, Royal Sussex Regiment, 1939-45: Croix de Guerre; Bronze Star. Married Joan Roskell in 1923; two daughters and one son. Assistant to Bernard Darwin. Golf Correspondent of The Times, London, 1924-25; Golf Correspondent, Bystander, 1925-30, and Britannia, 1930, both London; Screen-writer for British and American film companies, 1931-49. Member, British Olympic Bobsleigh Team, Chamonix, France, 1924. Died in April 1983. |
