The book has no namesor stamps etc. Slight colour bleed from bottom edge front board
Tightly bound and square, light scattered spotting to edges
The wrapper has some shallow edge chipping as shown and some general edgewear, bleed to rear as per front board.

Overall a nice looking copy brutally described, outstanding artwork by Asta as well
I have never seen, or indeed personally even heard of, another copy of this book in jacket - a hugley rare and collectable early Crime Club title

One of the original first 3 titles published by the legendary Collins Crime Club
A VG+ book in 7/6 1st issue dust jacket
Book shows no names, inscriptions or stamps, light spotting to edges and prelims
Tightly bound and square, the marks on the spine are from the jacket and mirror the fact the book and jacket have been togaether for over 80 yeras now
The wrapper has a small piece of loss just below the 7/6 on spine and a couple of short closed tears
Still clean and bright
Overall a rather nice copy

Collins Crime Club is a very strong and collectable part of the market and goes from strength to strength every year
Obviously this is a rare book and in nice condition but the fact it marks the beginning of the Collins Crime Club imprint . . .
