FERRARS, Elizabeth. Pseudonym for Morna Doris Brown (nee MacTaggart); also writes as E.X. Ferrars. British. Born in Rangoon, Burma, 6 September 1907. Educated at Bedales School, Petersfield, Hampshire, 1918-24; University College, London, 1925-28, diploma in journalism 1928. Married Robert Brown in 1940. Founding Member, Crime Writers Association, 1953. Recipient: Crime Writers Association Red Herring Award, 1981.
