The book shows no names or stamps etc, tight and square. Nice 1 inch thick spine so not the thin format, inbetween size.
The jacket shows minor wear to extremities, so tanning to rear panel, couple of short closed tears
This is a very rare book, the only copy we have ever seen and far rarer than many of the 1930s titles
Most collectors will be well aware that paper shortages made 1941 books amongst the rarest of any period

Brief Biography
ECR Lorac. Pseudonym for Edith Caroline Rivett; also wrote under the name of Carol Carnac. British. She was born in Hendon, London.in 1894 and was educated at South Hampstead High School; Central School of Arts and Crafts. London. Member of the Detection Club. Died 2 July 1958.
