SIMPSON, Dorothy (nee Preece). British. Born in Blae-navon, Monmouthshire, Wales, 20 June 1933. Educated at Brid-gend Grammar School for Girls, Glamorganshire, 1944-51; University of Bristol, 1951-55, B.A. (honours) 1954, teaching diploma 1955. Married Keith Taylor Simpson in 1961; two sons and one daughter. Teacher of English and French, Dartford Grammar School for Girls, 1955-59, and Erith Grammar School, 1959-61, both Kent; Teacher of English, Senacre School, Maid-stone, Kent, 1961-62; marriage guidance counsellor, 1969-82
