HARE, Cyril. Pseudonym for Alfred Alexander Gordon Clark. British. Born in Mickleham, Surrey, 4 September 1900. Educated at Rugby School, Warwickshire; New College, Oxford, B.A. (honours) in history; Inner Temple, London: called to the Bar, 1924. Married Mary Barbara Lawrence in 1933; one son and two daughters. Joined firm of Ronald Oliver and practiced in civil and criminal courts; Temporary Officer. Ministry of Economic Warfare, 1940, and Temporary Legal Assistant, Director of Public Prosecutions Department, 1940-45; County Court Judge, Surrey, 1950-58. Died 25 Angust 1958. |
