The Perfect Murder Case - SIGNED - Christopher Bush
1929 English hardback first edition, first impression published by Heinemann in London Signed and dated 1929 on the endpaper by the author! A VG book, tight and square, some scattered foxing, a few minor marks to boards No previous owner names or dedications etc The wrapper is SECOND issue, as the first except priced 3/6 on spine Shallow loss to spine top and a little edge wear otherwise solid - especially for a 1920's jacket Because the book has a few marks to boards is first issue, I wonder whether the jacket is supplied? The author's second book, signed and with a jacket . . . a special thing and a bargain

Ludovic Travers
The genial, talkative amateur detective, Ludovic Travers, is the unofficial advisor to Scotland Yard Superintendent Wharton. Travers is tall (6'3") and very thin. The large, horn-rimmed eyeglasses he wears give him the appearance of "a benevolent secretary bird." He is intelligent, an author, and expert on social economics. Although he was born to a wealthy family, his philosophy borders on the communistic. In detection, which he has pursued for 40 years, he has little patience with routine, always seeking, usually finding, the short-cut.
