KNOX, Bill William Knox. Also writes as Michael Kirk; Robert MacLeod; Noah Webster. British. Born in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, 20 February 1928. Educated at local schools in Scotland. Served in the Royal Naval Auxiliary. Married Myra Ann McKUl in 1950; two daughters and one son. Copy Boy, Glasgow Evening Citizen, 1944-45; Reporter, later Dep Editor. Glasgow Evening News, 1945-57; News Edi Scottish Editor, Scottish Empire News Glasgow and 1957-60; News Editor. Scottish Televisron, Glasgow, Since 1962, free-lance author and broadcaster; since 19 and presenter, "Crime Desk" programme, Scottish TV
