Inspector Napoleon Bonaparte Found under a tree, next to his dead mother, the infant, who would grow into the detective called Napoleon Bonaparte, was taken to the nearest mission station. Shortly thereafter, he was observed trying to eat a biographical volume on the late French emperor. The matron who named him evidently had a whimsical sense of humor. Bony (as he is known to his friends) did well at mission school, and went on to earn an M.A. at the Brisbane University in Australia. He joined the Queensland police department, where his prowess as a tracker led to rapid promotion, ultimately to the rank of Inspector. Suave, slender, handsome, with blue eyes, black hair, and light brown coloring, Bony has the habit of rolling his own cigarettes. His inheritance from his mixed parentage provided an uncanny ability to read "The Book of the Bush," and the faculty of reason. While he possesses an enormous ego, Bony's claim is justified that he has never failed to finalize a case. |
